“Creativity takes courage”, Henri Matisse
War made me an artist, hardships made me a sculptor, and raw materials gave me the courage to create without fear.
I turn raw materials (wood, stones, clay, bones, metal) into creatures that reflect what I have been through in the Syrian War. I risk the classical form of making the perfect sculpture by turning it into a mirror that reflects the hardships and chaos I go through during the war.
My artwork is about creating human states that embody the effects of war and chaos on human beings and their decision making in life.
